Make up August 8, 2008

Damn girl get rid of that shouting, colorful eye makeup in the office!

As I struggle to fit on to my prenatal clothes and again use my shoes! (thank God!) as I am going back to work in less than a month after my 78 days leave, I could not help but salvage some of my make up and try some on to myself to see if I still have the talent. hehehe!  Going through the strokes and tips that JRP taught me, I remember one lass from work(will not say whether she’s from my previous or current employer :) ).  Anyway, whenever I see her, there seems to be always wrong with how I look at her.  I am not a fashion guru nor an artist but as someone with lectures on dressing and doing make up, what she does is not really appropriate.

She matches her eye makeup with what she wears which is alright as this had been done for quite sometime now, but violet eye makeup to match your violet blouse, bag and shoes? No, no, no!  There are exceptions to the rules, and most of all we are in the workplace, not in the theather! –> “that last phrase I got from my professor from St. Scho, only she used school not workplace”.  Anyway, this is always the case for her, match the eye with the top and the bag and the shoes. Eyesore! sometimes I could see her with blue eye makeup, blue big bangles, blue blouse, blue bag, blue shoes! girl where’s the sun?! I’m sorry, making a mockery out of someone’s weaknesses is rude and some of you might say, just tell her what’s wrong.  I could do that but the problem is, we don’t know each other.  We might have exchange a word or two but this is because of some work related issue.  Being someone who could come up to her and say “tone down the eye makeup and the matching game” wouldn’t be me.  Probably a friend, and that’s not me–> at least to her.

So what’s my point? I dunno, just thought of sharing this view and could you be someone who wears make-up at least make sure it’s appropriate. :)

Roses August 5, 2008

Ironic, when we go back to the history of the rose. It was used during the fifteenth century as a symbol for the factions fighting to control England. The white rose symbolized York, and the red rose symbolized Lancaster, as a result, the conflict became known as the “War of the Roses.” And now, if love could be defined by one symbol, it would be the rose. No other symbol can evoke the same feelings of romantic love.

I’m not so fond of it but I feel very special everytime I have one in my hand. I have received a number of roses from people for various occasions, and right now I could probably have a room of that box from island rose from all the deliveries could I have not thrown them. But of course those roses coming from one of the most important persons are the one’s you treasure…

Yesterday, as I was surfing the net Jai came up to me and said to go our room and check on our little son. I said, he’s with his angel (we call our helpers angels) sleeping, but he insisted! So I did. As expected, they were sleeping so I just organized some things in the room. Adored the shoes that Jai bought me the day before and after about 10minutes I glanced at my son who’s sleeping and noticed a bouquet of red roses beside him! I knew it! It was our anniversary yesterday and Jai took his vacation leave to be with me all day. It was too sweet.. Jai first gave me a bouquet of red roses on our first monthsary, then another on my birthday then on our first wedding monthsary then on mother’s day even if I was still just pregnant then.

However roses were used in the 15th century, truly, roses makes a woman feel beautiful and good about herself. After all the pounds gained from pregnancy and those scars, flowers and all the loving makes women feel so proud of their relationship. — at least I am.

The joy of Pregnancy August 5, 2008

Later, we are going to visit our dearest auntie tellie who passed away exactly one year ago and after that we will go meet chocopix to finalize Jerry’s souvenirs for his baptism. And as I stare at my closet full of prenatal clothes, I could only say “damn! when can I wear these again!” hahaha!

Before I got pregnant, I was 95lbs and at the end of my pregnancy it peaked to 139lbs! I ate like crazy and I could not be anymore regretful for enjoying my pregnancy that much. Hehehe, but those were the good days! I was treated like a princess, anything I wanted was there everytime I ask for it. Could it be the psychology that made me want so much and knowing that hubby will always give it to me.

There were those cravings for kamias, blueberry cheesecake, mangosteen, melon etc., Oh! I could not forget the taho! hahaha! This is probably the best! –> Hubby was then assigned in alabang along with rhoy, harold and rommel who all lived North side. That was the time when our 5kgs. cold cuts along with our Christmas bonus from the office management was given to us, so the boys hitched in Jai’s car and picked me up from Makati office. That morning I was already craving for taho! When the boys picked me up, I immediately said “I want taho”, we then roamed around Makati, the boys one by one got down from the car to ask each restaurant whether they have taho. At that time, I wasn’t very happy because it was 7PM and I really wanted my taho. We parked at glorietta went store by store but still no taho! On our way back to the car, we saw one shop in the middle of glorietta specializing in soy milk and taho! My hopes rose and I was happy, but when we got near, we noticed they were about to close. Unfortunately, they were out of taho! 8PM and still no taho, boys were suggesting so much already but I wanted taho. So they were brainstorming of some restaurant where they could probably have taho. They rhoy thought of Hap Chan, hubby searched for locations of the restaurant via wap.clickthecity and found one near Makati ave. while on our way they were contacting the restaurant to find whether they have taho! Luckily they do! It was about 9PM when we arrived and indeed they have cold taho! I was in the mood actually for hot taho, but I was pretty tired myself so I settled for cold taho from hap chan! And the boys, in joy of finally ending the search enjoyed their taho as well! hahahaha! Those were the good times!

I have found a new Passion August 5, 2008

My preparations for Jerry’s baptism is almost over. The internet became my uber friend, I found all ideas and supplier and made all my transactions with them via internet. This just justify why you need a credit card and a bank account, God bless money transfer and paypal! hehehe..

Could I have known that I will be so good in event coordination, I could have made this my career! Instead of being in this crazy, hectic and undeniably boring IT. hehehe… anyway, preparing one event for someone you love with a budget is overly exhausting! You want so much but have to fit the budget, but thanks again to my GT sis’ I have made my son’s baptism something he will appreciate when he’s grown. There were so much taranta moments like having the reception area you like to be fully booked, when you have no other options! The always event host cousin Dada to be away on that date ’cause she’ll be leaving for the US! My photographer, Jeff and Dulce to be in Nihon on that day as well! etc., argghh! But eventually, I found replacements!

Way back highschool, I was already in this organizing thing but it didn’t occur to me that it can pay the rent. Until all this wedding organizers, party planners, event coordinator etc., appeared on Jobstreet!

As I think about it, I laugh because hubby and I are already talking about changing my career to give time to our little one. Although I have a binding contract with my current employer that will last until October 2009, I’m thinking of going to another career path and event coordinating is no. 1 in my list!
